OMA Board Meets in Pennsylvania
The OMA Board met at Mensch Mill November 11-14, 2007. The hospitality provided by Jeremy Force and his staff was excellent and the Board did some very significant work.
The Consult Planning Committee was also able to meet and the plans for Consult 2009 are well underway.

Thanks for the pictures Charles!!
Hey, did anyone on the board have any information about DaVita McCalister? I was at a meeting of youth ministers here in the Minnesota Conference today and her name came up and all that we knew was that she is not longer in her position. I she was on the OMA board as part of her position at National.
Any updates?

DaVita has left her position at National and the interim appointment is Kelly Burd. She is only focused on the National Youth Event at this point. Therefore, we really have no rep for Outdoor Ministry at this point.

I am sorry to hear about DaVita's departure from the National scene at UCC and also to hear that no one has been given the responsibility to represent OMA. But you all been there before like the poor cousin left out in the cold. OMA is a strong organization made up of some incredible folks who will keep the energy focused and the lines of communication flowing from camp to camp and conference center to conference center. OMA was a powerful influence in my life as a UCC OM camp director and it will continue to be a community of support that connects all of the UCC OM folks together. You people continue to "ROCK" and we all like dancing to the tunes.
God Bless your organization and each one of you. May the light continue to burn brightly for the future generations of campers who'll be guided through your ministry.
Shalom and a happy turkey day.
I'm off to East Lansing in the early AM.

Ditto Greg,
Looking at the pictures of the good folk gathered at Mensch Mill for the OMA Board meeting I am confident that OMA will be a strong organization for years and years to come. And the Kelly Burd will catch up as soon as there is more time to live into the position. Whether its Kelly or the next person.
